Sakho back tomorrow!
Well could be.......

avid Gold has confirmed that Diafra Sakho is back in the selection frame for the Irons.

ClaretandHugh revealed exclusively a few hours ago that the striker had an outside chance of making the bench for tomorrow’s fourth round FA Cup clash at Ashton Gate adding that next week’s match against Liverpool at Anfield was a real target.

And the co chairman has confirmed that is the case in responding to a follower who asked if there was “any truth” in the story.

Gold declared: “I am hopeful he will be available for selection against Liverpool.”

A source told us: “There remains a small chance he’ll make the bench tomorrow. He has recovered quicker than expected.”

Terry-h, staffs, Sven, thanks I didn't know that, great news. He is excellent and Carroll is really coming on too. Valencia as well gives real competition.

Re: Sakho back tomorrow!
I've just posted support for him on his FB page.

Senegalise lad I work with was bitter about him not going to the ACON.

You can understand it not least because he played today. Imagine if a top England striker playing abroad was kept back by his club from playing a tournament and then played.

He's going to get a lot of stick not least because they look genuine contenders.

He's put an emotional post on Facebook - sounds like the Senegal fans have given him a barrage of abuse for playing today.

Re: Sakho back tomorrow!
Yeah fuck them, was just bad luck (for them) that he was out injured.

I just love him, hope he can get a clear run now with no injured. I expect he will be back on bench next week to nurse him back in.

Sakho...=...DYNAMITE STRIKER...

Sven Roeder 10:01 Sun Jan 25
Re: Sakho back tomorrow!
He was injured just before the squad was picked and we said he would be out for two or three weeks.
They had the option of picking him for the last group game and onwards.
They didn't and that's the end of the matter.
We have acted with integrity and honesty and the man has just put us in the 5th Round.
That's all folks

Re: Sakho back tomorrow!
Bullett, as Terry said, they can't call him up now because he wasn't selected for the original squad and they won't be able to call anyone else up at this stage of the tournament.

Re: Sakho back tomorrow!
Sakho was replaced by someone called Konate for the ACON. The deadline for final squad announcement was 17 January.
I expect Senegal will have a good moan about Sakho's fitness, but they can fuck off as far as I'm concerned.

Re: Sakho back tomorrow!
Sakho’s inclusion in the match-day squad was questioned by press following the win, but Allardyce insists the club haven’t crossed any lines.

“He’s still unable to fly,”

“We had to drive him down in a limo on Saturday afternoon, but other than that he said he can get out on the pitch and just see how he goes.

“Today was about putting him on the bench with the hope we didn’t have to use him, but in the end bringing him on was the most important tactical decision for us.

“Yesterday I spoke with the chairman and said he looks alright. We don’t think we’re doing anything wrong with what we’ve done and how we’ve approached it.”

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_Africa_Cup_of_Nations_squads#Senegal

Senegal didn't call him up so I can't see how could complain really? No rule against calling up injured players either, is there?

Far Cough 6:14 Sun Jan 25
Re: Sakho back tomorrow!
Well he definitely started but I'm not sure he played?

Oh and Polite you were wrong about Sakho too

You should give up this ITK lark
